Welcome to Playmates, your trusted and experienced, independent pre-school in Raunds. Our qualified and dedicated staff offer a safe, nurturing, stimulating environment for children to learn and grow.

We believe in providing a child-centered approach to education, where each child is valued and encouraged to develop the skills needed for a confident start at primary school.

Our curriculum is designed to develop children's skills through play-based learning.
We offer 2 areas within our pre-school; The Cabin is for our younger children between 2 & 3 years olds AND our Bungalow is for the older children.

At Playmates Pre-school, we are committed to providing high-quality early childhood activities and experiences to prepare our children for success in their future academic and personal endeavors.

Our pre-school benefits from being on Windmill School's campus, enabling our children to experience a primary school environment before actually attending. We work with all the local primary schools to ensure we are teaching our children the skills they will need for a successful transition to "big school".

Playmates Pre-school started in 1991 and has been sited at Windmill School's Caretaker's Bungalow since 2001. Childcare has changed beyond recognition over the years. In 2010 we changed our name from Playmates Playgroup to Playmates Pre-school because we felt our service was more about preparing children for school rather than just children playing together.

Our curriculum is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage framework and promotes children's independence and learning, through a deep routed ethos across the Setting.
